11/24/2023 0 Comments Myst toothbrush reviews![]() A sonic toothbrush w/reg toothpaste, a water pick, floss, mouthwash, & consistency is still the ticket to good oral hygiene. Unfortunately, this just is not the Second Coming of dental care as you might be lead to believe it is. But, that's just me hypothesizing it's a blue light & that's not its intended purpose. But, hypothetically, lower intensity LEDs that lightly cross into the UV-A spectrum & are only present for ~30 seconds, that seems like it could destroy germs without the severe damage of high intensity LEDs that bleed into the UV-B, & even the UV-C spectrum, that might have required more than 30s exposures. The manner in which that is performed is considered relatively bad. It resembles light accelerated whitening procedures performed by dentists, & those have been known to emit light well into the UV spectrum. The blue LEDs are the one thing I thought might show promise in terms of efficacy. ![]() It's sold via infomercial, through their own website or other unrecognized retailer websites, using sales tactics known to drive sales that would otherwise be unethical for a licensed dentist (in the US I assume likewise in every Nation belonging to the G7 I'm guessing the full G8 as well, but.that's whole different issue unrelated to dental products & dentistry in general) to engage in without losing their license to practice (Professional Ethics refers to it as a Conflict of Interest so no "Act Now!" or "50% off if you call in the next 35s!" or "Supplies are unbelievably limited!" That just doesn't fly. Max Spicer "allegedly" created the Myst Toothbrush because, not only is he NOT rather well-known & NOT easily recognizable, there's a notably growing suspicion to whether or not the person actually exists.Or, maybe the German Dentist doesn't regularly engage the public, I guess.(?) Anything is possible. Max Spicer.of course it's Dentist Recommended or Approved! But Dr. Allegedly created by the rather well-known & easily recognizable dentist Dr. ![]() The first clinical study out of the gates in 2020 equated the Myst Toothbrush to that of not brushing at all. The sonic brushes are not able to sufficiently remove plaque from the teeth, particularly in the areas they cannot reach. Someone requires a Dentist prescribed toothpaste, instead they buy the Myst toothpaste not fully understanding why they might be prescribed a toothpaste (i.e., it's different), thus potentially exacerbating the problem. The end result will still be the destruction of one's teeth to varying degrees. People don't buy it, & either still use w/o, w a different toothpaste altogether regardless, or switch back to the standard brush that's been destroying our teeth. Such a high reoccurring price for full functionality, especially if people perceive that as their only option (& buy it or don't buy it), it could really turn into a bad situation fast. Toothpaste - Myst toothpaste is the only toothpaste that will fully enable all features of the brush. BUT! The multiple flaws as I see it are: 1. Myst has NO single tragic flaw-no one will write a tragedy based on a toothbrush because it sounds just ridiculous, & because it has multiple flaws that any such tragedy wouldn't be well-received.i.e., it would probably suck. point made! So! What is (are) the flaw(s)?!. Ok?-What's the fatal flaw.? The tragedians of the Days of Old made tragic flaws quite apparent! Achilles, Oedipus, Helen, etc. Plus, 30s to brush?! Holy smokes! Go buy one now then, right?! Sure, if you want?-But, as with all things that present as that perfect solution we've always been looking for.so too does the Myst Toothbrush reveal itself to be flawed, potentially of the tragic variety. ![]() And it even incorporates advanced whitening technology, the sort that is ostensibly akin to a Professional Dentist facilitated procedure. Myst additionally incorporates the significant advantages of sonic brushing. The Myst Toothbrush is certainly an attention grabber! So now the ONLY back up of this music is on his iPod. And as we know, sync is a one way affair between iTunes and iPod you can sync TO the iPod, but not FROM it. Hence why needing an application that can not only read the filestructure and metadata on an iPod and interface with it, but also copy the files to a folder location on the local hard drive of the computer/mac. ![]() This is a problem third-party vendors have fallen over themselves to provide a solution for. However, iTunes will STILL insist on wiping the iPod next time it's asked to sync with it, but since we will have the SAME songs in the library, what is wiped off the iPod will be sync'd "back" to it during iTunes first sync. After that first sync, everything is back to normal and the world can carry onīut yes - you can move data file from a PC to a Mac, and you can move them from a Mac to a PC if you a) so wished and b) had the files on at least one of the machines in the first place! I have Sentui and do actually use it quite regularly, it's worth the small amount it costs for the full version, however you could probably get the whole iPod off onto the iMac on the trial if you can be bothered to mess around a little. My iTunes library is 37.76 GB for 5768 songs which means that each song is 0.006546463245492GB in size, this means that your friends library contains approx 1833 items. So you could move the library in 2 sittings on the trial. If you have an app like Appdelete (highly recomended if you don't) or AppZapper. Combining the fatalism of lines like ‘what good would living do me’ with the use of God in the title was risky business back in the mid-’60s. Once that miasmic mix of harpsichords and celestial brass clears, and that opening caveat is laid bare, we’re left with a heartbreakingly tender song of yearning, of devotion and of fidelity. The uncertainty of the first line (‘I may not always love you’) is a classic pop curveball, which works with the swooping transition from intro to verse. D Every Bm morning when the G sun comes A. Underground nuclear testing began at the NTS with Operation Nougat in September of 1961. In reality, largescale atmospheric tests became common and lasted for nearly 12 years. The results ideally would then lead to the development of bigger atomic bombs and advanced thermonuclear weapons. The AEC originally intended for the NTS to be a testing site where quick experiments could be conducted with small scale nuclear bombs. Test facilities for nuclear rocket and ramjet engines were also constructed and used from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. Out of these tests 100 were atmospheric, and 921 were underground. government conducted a total of 1,021 nuclear tests here. But three recent women's times landed well above the 2004 regression line, and as a result the new regression line that we get when we account for the new data point (orange in the plot) flattens out substantially. After twelve more years, the men's regression line is essentially unchanged, continuing in its downward trajectory by the stellar sub-9.7 times that Usain Bolt recorded in 20. However, the model for men performs better than the model for women. Over short time periods, extrapolation seems to be working. Unsurprisingly, the results from those games all lie within the confidence intervals from the original linear model. It is interesting to add the results from those three games (yellow and green points below) and see how the model has performed. Since the Nature paper was published, we've had three additional Olympic games. Doing so rules out the linear approach taken here. So a model fit should be constrained to remain positive, reaching an asymptote no lower that zero at the very extreme. Even if we are extremely conservative about what these may be, we can be certain that times will not become negative. Namely, there must be some limits to human performance. What should those be? Well, even if we don't have a very good idea of what factors influence 100-meter dash times, we can still do at least something. If one is going extrapolate well beyond the range of the available data, it should done based upon models that account for the known physical processes involved. Moreover, the authors have done so in the absence of any underlying conceptual or mechanistic model of how record performances might change. In the intervening 600 years, the authors may wish to address the obvious challenges raised for both time-keeping and the teaching of basic statistics.Īs the Texas high schoolers point out, the problem is that the authors have taken a relatively narrow time range of 104 years and used this extrapolate several hundred years into the future. They omit to mention, however, that (according to their analysis) a far more interesting race should occur in about 2636, when times of less than zero seconds will be recorded. Tatem and colleagues calculate that women may out-sprint men by the middle of the twenty-second century (Nature 431,525 2004). Kenneth Rice uses a type of argument known as reductio ad absurdum, in which one shows that accepting the targeted claim leads to absurd or impossible consequences. It's a beautiful model of how one can call bullshit in a way that is persuasive to laypersons and professional statisticians alike. But our favorite response is simple, non-technical, and utterly devastating. To our delight, a high school biology class in College Station, Texas dismantled the original model with considerable flair. Nonetheless, a number of readers rushed to call bullshit on the straight-faced claims that the authors made. Knowing some of the authors by reputation, we're convinced that this was a tongue-in-cheek commentary on model selection and the dangers of extrapolation rather than the exceptionally sloppy thinking that would be necessary to think that the linear model is actually a good choice for long-range extrapolation. ![]() ![]() (We admit to being unable to figure out exactly what their model selection procedure was). The authors apply a model selection procedure to a range of regression models, but they are unable to reject the linear model as the best fit to the data. They note the shrinking gap between men's and women's times, and based on their regression, they predict that in the year 2156 women runners would beat men for the first time. In that paper, the authors use linear regression to fit curves to Olympic gold medal times for men and women in the 100-meter dash. In 2004, the journal Nature published a short paper by Tatem and colleagues. ![]() ![]() *subject to availability, while stocks last.
